Kelvin's Bi-Weekly fishing Report
January
18th- January31st
The week of the 18th was stormy in San Diego with much of the county recieving 3-5 inches
of rain
and more in the mountians with snow as well. The ocean has been rough with huge waves and lots of wind.
The
bays have been the best option as I had clients on both bays this past weekend.
On Sunday San Diego Bay was
fun with some great Spotted Bay
Bass action and a few Halibut too.
Mission Bay was good on Saturday for Spotted Bay Bass.
Look for a Yellowtail bite at La
Jolla this month, I've got a feeling it's going to happen.
The water has cooled into the high 50's. It should stay
about there into early Spring.
An "El Nino" is predicted so we may get an early Spring with water temps higher
than the average
meaning we may have some great early Spring fishing this year.
The fishing pressure is light and
it's a great time to get on the water for some great Winter fishing.
